 `Horenso-nabe(Hotpot with pork and spinach)`

 On a cold winter, it creates warm and enjoyable atmosphere to eat cooking togetherat the table.

This cuisine is a delicious hot-pot with ingredients we have on hand.

  1. 400~500g of boned rib pork(sliced), 2~3 bunches of spinach, 2 cakes of Tofu

  2. (for soup):  10 cups of water, 2 cloves of garlic, 3 of bouillon cube, 3 tbsp. of sugar, 6 tbsp. of soy sauce, 1tbsp of Mirin, 2 tbsp. of Sake, 1tsp. of salt

  3. Shichimi-togarashi(mixture of red pepper and other spices)

  1. Wash the spinach carefully.
    Tear it in half and cut Tofu into large cubes.

    Chop the garlic finely.
    @

  2. Put the water and the ingredients of B into a large pan and boil up to make soup.
    @

  3. Put the half of the soup into a deep pot and boil up again.
    Add 1/3 of the pork, the spinach and the Tofu.
    Cover with the lid.
    When it brings to a boil, help oneself to them with the soup.
    Add Shichimi-togarashi to taste.

  4. Put the rest ingredients of A and the soup to the pot as necessary.
    Donft boil the spinach too much to avoid a harsh taste.
