Childrenfs Day; Each home

This day was originally called Tango no Sekku (Boysf Festival). They celebrate this day praying for their boys to grow up healthy and strong. They hoist flying carp streamers (Symbol of success) outside their houses and set up Kabuto (the warrior Helmet-symbol of bravery) inside their houses. Further they eat Chimaki (rice dumplings wrapped in bamboo leaves) and Kashiwamochi (rice cakes wrapped in oak leaves).
