The 12 symbolic zodiac animals represent the Japanese lunar calendar system in a cycle of 12 years.

They rotate in the order of the Rat, the Ox, the Tiger, the Hare, the Dragon, the Serpent, the Horse, the Sheep, the Monkey, the Rooster, the Dog, and the Boar.

The year of 2005 (the 17th year of Heisei) falls on the Rooster in the zodiac calendar.

It is said that everyone portrays their individual zodiac animalfs characteristics.

People born in the Year of the Rooster (1921,-33, 45, 57, 69, 81, 93) are said to be early risers and hard workers.

There is also a proverb; gThe early bird catches the worm.h

So, the Rooster year people may become prosperous.
