`Sanshoku-Dombur`(Rice in a bowl with three color toppings)

Domburi dishes are typical Japanese rice cooking using porcelain bowls (Domburi).

Sanshoku-domburi is colorful rice dish decorated with three toppings,whose colors tell gSpring has come.h

y Ingredients ( 4 servings ) z

  1. 2.5 cups rice, 250g minced chicken, 8 eggs, 2 cups fresh green peas, pickled ginger for garnish

  2. ‡@1 tbsp. each of sugar, Sake, ginger juice and soy sauce.

    ‡A1 tbsp. each of sugar and Sake, 1/2 tsp. salt

  1.  Cook rice and keep it warm.

  2. Mix the ingredients of (B) ‡@ in a sauce pan@and bring it to a boil.

  3. Add the chicken and cook stirring with wooden chopsticks to break up the clump until it becomes into small drops. Remove from heat and set aside.

  4. Beat the eggs. Mix the ingredients of (B) ‡A and add to the beaten egg. Place it in a sauce pan and cook over low heat stirring constantly until it is cooked but still moist.

  5.  Boil the peas about 4 minutes. Drain and aside.

  6. Divide the cooked rice into 4 individual bowls. Place the chicken, egg and peas over the rice@in distinct sections. Garnish with pickled ginger.

Instead of bowl (Domburi), lunch box can be used for picnic
