When you become pregnant

If you know you are pregnant, please submit a eNotice of Pregnancyf (eNinshin-Todokef)@and@ receive eMaternal and Child Health Handbookf (eBoshi-Kenko-Techof) as soon as possible. 

If you are registered in Funabashi City, you can receive it. 

In this handbook, health condition of both mother and child is recorded. 

Using tickets (Jushin-Hyo) in this handbook, pregnant women can get free health checkups once in early pregnancy and once in late pregnancy and after childbirth, babies can get free health checkups once when he/she is 3`6 months old and once when he/she is 9`11 months old in hospitals and clinics which are the members of Medical Association of Chiba Prefecture.

#1`4 is open from 9:00 to 17:00 on Monday through Friday (excluding national holidays) and
#5 is open from 9:00 to 20:00 on Monday through Friday (excluding national holidays) and
9:00 to 17:00 on second and fourth Saturdays & Sundays.

You can receive this in branch offices of Funabashi City (eShucchojof or eRenrakushof) as well.

Pregnant women can consult about their health through telephone and over the counter.

Consultation through telephone ((047-436-2399) is available on Monday through Friday (excluding national holidays, the end of the year and the beginning of the year) from 8:45 to 17:15.

Consultation over the counter is available in the Health Promotion Section (Kenko-zoshin-ka) in Funabashi City Hall and all Hoken Centers from 8:45 to 17:15 on Monday through Friday  (excluding national holidays, the end of the year and the beginning of the year)

The health checkups for pregnant women and New Parentsf Class for the people who are going to have a baby for the first time are also available. For details, please ask the Health Promotion Section ((047-436-2382).  If you have difficulty with Japanese, please ask the Foreign Residentfs Assistance Service (Every Monday and Friday 10:00~16:00 (047-436-2953) or the International Relations Section ((047-436- 2083).

After childbirth

After you have a baby, you should submit eBirth Certificatef (eShussho-Todokef) within two weeks to the City Hall and register him/her in Alien Registration in 60 days after birth.

The baby can get health checkups when he/she is 3`6 months old and 9`11 years old using tickets in eMaternal and Child Health Handbookf (eBoshi-Kenko- Techof).

Consultation for bringing up children is available in the Health Promotion Section in the City Hall from 8:45 to 17:15 on Monday through Friday (excluding national holidays, the end of the year and the beginning of the year) For details, please ask the Health Promotion Section ((047-436-2382).  The consultation for 3~11 months old babies is also available in other places.  For details, please see gKoho Funabashih.  If you have difficulty with Japanese, please ask the Foreign Residentfs Assistance Service (Every Monday and Friday 10:00~16:00 (047-436-2953) or the International Relations Section ((047-436-2083).
