The Japanese conventional calendar system is represented by 12 symbolic zodiac animals in a cycle of 12 years.  They rotate in the order of the rat, ox, tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, sheep, monkey, cock, dog and boar.

The year of 2004 (the 16th year of Heisei) falls on the Monkey in the zodiac calendar.

They say that everyone shares each zodiac animalfs character. So people born in the Year of the Monkey (`1920, 1932, 1944, 1956, 1968, 1980, 1992) are said to form a group easily.  Letfs be careful not to form a rabble@(the gathering of lots of people without any order and solidarity).
