A heart-warming story of a boy named Billy from a coal miner’s family aspiring to be a classic ballet dancer. With everyone around him wishing the boy’s dream to come true, father in poverty only gradually but steadily yields to the boy’s desire, and eventually helps the son in earnest.

“KAZE-NO-MATASABURO”(Matasaburo, The Wind, in Glass Mantle) Wed., May 22

Based on a novel for children by Miyazawa Kenji, the movie describes hidden wonders of a kid, named “Matasaburo, The Wind”, as viewed by a fictitious girl named ‘Karin' .

“SINGIN’ IN THE RAIN” Thur., June 20
A 1955 U.S. film.
A romance among dancing partners on the stages of cinema photo studios, in and about the closing years of the 1920s, when trend of the industry was sweeping from silent to talkie. Dancing and singing scenes in the rain by Don and Cassie fascinate the spectators.
Directed by Gene Kelly and Stanley Donen, and starring Gene himself, Debbie Reynolds, Cyd Charisse, Donald O’Conner, Millard Mitcheil, etc.
