Spring,
the comfortable season has come.
We
introduce the Sumida River and Tokyo Sky Tree which are wonderful for walking
in spring.
The
Sumida River is a big river and runs from north to south in the heart of Tokyo.
It has contributed to people’s life since olden days. Nowadays it is a joyful
sightseeing place, too. In spring, there are beautiful bloom of cherry blossom
trees, particularly the one in the Sumida park along the river is famous. And
it also has a riverside walk called ‘River Terrace’ which is good for walking
while watching the river.
Tokyo
Sky Tree is the world’s tallest broadcasting tower built near the Sumida River.
It is 634m high. It has observation decks and they say it is possible to see
throughout the Kanto region from there. However, you need to wait until the
tower opens in the end of May.
A
row of cherry blossom trees along the Sumida River is located nearby ‘Asakusa
station’ of Tobu railroad, Tokyo Metoro Ginza line or Toei Asakusa line. Tokyo
Sky Tree is located nearby `Tokyo Sky Tree station’ of Tobu railroad. As the
distance of two places is only about 1km, you can walk from one to the other
while enjoying scenery of the downtown of Tokyo.
