How to use public bicycle parks
near train stations
Funabashi City has city-operated bicycle parks （some also have parks for
up to 50cc bikes）near its train stations for commuters using trains with
reasonable fees for up to a maximum of one year from April 2014 through
March 2015. Those who wish to lease them from April, including the current
users are required to make an application from January 15 through January
Instructions with an application post card are available at Toshi Seibi-ka
(the Urban Development Section) of the City Hall, its branch offices, the
General Service Center at Face building near Funabashi Station, and each
bicycle park. Filled-in post card with 50-yen stamp should reach the City
Hall by January 31, 2014. The successful applicants will be so advised
around February 21. Its web application (in Japanese) is also available.
Incidentally, the 2nd application for unfilled bicycle parks is scheduled
from March 3 through March 10.
For commuters using out of Funabashi boundary train stations, reciprocal
agreements between cities enable Funabashi residents to lease adjacent
