Influenza Vaccination

Winter in Japan is the season of influenza. Babies/infants/the elderly tend to get serious.

In order to avoid catching influenza, or to prevent its increased severity, you are recommended to get its vaccination, preferably by mid-December. Two injections with an interval of 4 weeks are required for kids up to 12 years of age and one injection for 13 years and above.

Fees vary depending on clinics/hospitals, though approximately3000~4000 per one injection. Those  of 65 years and older registered in Funabashi City can get the vaccination for 1000 yen by bringing to a clinic/hospital the “Monshinhyo“  (questionnaire sheet) which will be sent from the city office in October.
