How to apply to Hoikuen Child Care Facility)
                      starting in April, 2013

 
 

Hoikuen (Child Care Facility) provides pre-school children

with longer supervision than at nursery schools.

Children under three can enter as well.

1) Requirements

The applicants should meet at least one of the conditions below.

*  Both parents have full-time jobs.

*  The mother of the child is on maternity leave or sick leave.

*  The parents are busy at nursing care of their parents.

2) How to apply

Please submit all necessary documents including application form,

maternity booklet, and health insurance card to Hoikuka

(Child Rearing Support Section), City Office.

You may apply at a day care center, but in that case, you should

notify beforehand. Please bring your child when you apply

at either place.

As far as the children whose mental and physical developments

are concerned, please inquire at Hoikuka

(Child Rearing Support Section) the City Office in advance.

The procedure is different.

Those wishing to enter in April 2013, apply by January 25, 2013

at Hoikuen or by January 31, 2013 at Hoikuka

(Child Rearing Support Section), City Office.

3) The result of your application

The City Office will inform you in early March if your child is admitted.

Otherwise, the office will send you a letter with the reason. 

Please remember that this procedure is not on a first-come-first-served basis.

4) Hoikuen fee

The fee depends on your child’s age and the family’s income

in the previous year. The Office will notify you by April 20, 2013.
