Town Watching (Evacuation Shelter)

“Disaster Supporters for Foreign Residents” group of FIRA (Funabashi International Relations Association) held a walking exercise to find the notice for Evacuation Shelter in case of disasters, inviting foreign residents.

Starting from Higashi Funabashi station of JR, 12 foreigners, divided in four groups accompanied by the supporters, walked down the street toward Funabashi Daijingu then to the City Hall in an effort to find the evacuation notices set alongside the street or on electric poles. They found the notice and nearby evacuation shelter at several locations. They realized that the notice gave them securities in a case of disasters.

Why don’t you practice the finding efforts all the time and tell your family and friends to do the same.
