May 27, Funabashi Cleanup Day

In order to keep Funabashi clean, citywide cleanup campaigns are implemented twice a year involving as many citizens as possible.

On the morning of May 27 and of November 18 of this year, the participants in this campaign will clean roadsides/gutters and pick up cans/bottles/other trash in their area in groups of each Chokai or Jichikai (neighborhood association) members. Garbage trucks are waiting at their nearby elementary schools to pick up the trash. Why don’t you take part in this campaign? It will give you a chance to get acquainted with your neighbors. For details on starting time, place to get together, etc., ask one of your neighbors.
