The Hoki Museum opened on November 3, 2010 as one of the few museums
in the world dedicated to Realist paintings. Realist art works depict
what the painter sees as delicate and realistic.
The museum collections include 300 works by the top artist
Sosuke Morimoto and other 40 painters. Approximately 160 works
such as females, flowers, still lifes and landscapes of Japan and Europe are
on display at any one time.
The museum’s galleries were designed specifically for the optimum display,
consisting of one above ground and two below ground stories featuring
