Let’s install fire alarms

Winter in Japan with dry air and strong north wind is the time when fires break out most in numbers in the year.  For reducing death tolls from fires Funabashi City Ordinance mandates installation of fire alarms at the private residences including condominiums/apartments. A battery-operated fire alarm, easily installable at ceilings/walls and workable for 10 years can be purchased for \4,000~6,000. You are advised to install one to protect you and your family against fires. Incidentally, when purchasing, be sure to have “NS label” by Japan Equipment Inspection Institute, indicating that the device meets the standards required by law.
