Chiba Prefectural Museum of Art collects works by artists who are extensively related to Chiba Prefecture (those who are, Chu Asai, Kaii Higashiyama, Hotsuma Katori and so on) as well as the works of both domestic and international sources focusing on modern and contemporary art.  At the studios inside the Museum, various art courses on Japanese-style and Western-style paintings, sculptures, craft, calligraphy and print are provided by every instructors for practicing.
