In order to keep Funabashi clean, citywide cleanup campaigns are implemented twice a year involving as many citizens as possible.

On the morning of June 1 (and of November 16) of this year, the participants in this campaign will clean roadsides/gutters and pick up cans/bottles/other trash in their area in groups of each Chokai or Jichikai (neighborhood association) members.

Garbage trucks are waiting at their nearby elementary schools to pick up the trash.

Why donft you take part in this campaign? It will give you a chance to get to know your neighbors.

For details on starting time, place to get together, etc., ask one of your neighbors.
