* Gender Equality Center and Tobu Kominkan can offer “Child-care Service”

for those with children.

 

 2. Teaching System:

 * Volunteer instructors, who were trained to teach Japanese to non-Japanese people,

will instruct you only in Japanese. 

 * The class is divided into small groups of three to four students by Japanese ability.

 * New students are to put in an appropriate group after a small interview

with an instructor in the first class.

 

3. Fee:

(1)     No tuition is required.

(2)     You only need to pay for the textbooks. You will be advised in the class

on where to get the books.

(3)     The titles and the prices of the textbooks are as follow:

      

    For the beginners' course

“Minna no Nihongo, Shokyu 1”

¥2,700  ( including tax )

“Minna no Nihongo, Shokyu 2”

¥2,700  ( including tax )

The Separate Volume (Translation & Grammar)

¥2,160  ( including tax )

 

         The textbooks are published by “Suri-e-Nettowaku” / “3A CORPORATION”

 

4. Qualification of Applicants:
In principle, applicants should be foreign residents of Funabashi or those
who currently work or study in the city.
5. Application Procedures:
(1) You can apply for the Japanese Class at each classroom.
Please go directly to the class 15 minutes before the start of the lesson.
(2) You can apply for the Japanese Class at International Relations Section,
Funabashi City Hall as well. Please submit your completed application to our

office.
 * Fax application is also available. Please fill out the attached application form
and send it back to our office. In that case, please give us a call to confirm
if your application has been received by us and to know the first date of your attendance
at the class.

 

Notes:

   * When you are absent from the class, please let your instructor know

about it beforehand.

   * In principle, you are not allowed to bring your children to the classes.

 

For those who need “Child-care Service” :

 

   * Gender Equality Center and Tobu Kominkan can take care

of pre-school children over 1 year old while you are studying.

   * Child-care Service requires reservations.

   * Please prepare the following things: spare clothes, towels,

something to drink, snacks, and name card.

   * Child-care service costs ¥600   for each kid every time, but the fees

for one month are to be paid in advance.

* You might be put on the waiting list if the number of children reaches our capacity.

* Babies under 1 year old are allowed to be with you in the class.
